Killer Gluten-Free Garlic Knots

300 g (1 Package)

Authentic Foods Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Mix

7 g (1 Packet)

Instant Yeast

1 1/4 Cup



Extra Virgin Olive Oil

8 Cloves



Dried Oregano


Authentic Foods Superfine Sweet Rice Flour


  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Authentic Foods Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Mix and the yeast until the yeast is mixed into the flour well.
  2. Add 1 1/4 cups of water and 1 TBSP of olive oil. Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms.
  3. Portion the dough into 10 balls and lightly sprinkle your work surface with Authentic Foods Superfine Sweet Rice Flour.
  4. Roll out each piece of dough and tie into a log then tie in a knot.
  5. Cover the dough with saran wrap and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  6. While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 450F and start making the garlic olive oil paste.
  7. Mince 8 cloves of garlic or use a zester to create a garlic paste.
  8. In a small bowl mix the paste with 2 TBSP of olive oil and the oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. After the dough has risen, brush the knots with 1 TBSP of olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. When the knots come out of the oven, quickly brush them with the garlic olive oil paste. Allow to cool and enjoy!

These were terrific! I would suggest a few minor changes to the recipe: Under Ingredients, it lists 3 T. olive oil. Under Directions, it calls for 4 T. Wording should be changed in step 4. I recommend "warm" water, rather than just water. This recipe is definitely a keeper. Thank you!
