Cheesecake Brownies

Ingredients:

Cheesecake Topping:

8 ounces cream cheese

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon Authentic Foods Vanilla Powder

1 large egg

 

Brownie:

1 package Authentic Foods Double Chocolate Brownie Mix

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup warm water

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Grease an 8 x 8 inch pan.  Set aside.

 

Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth.  Then beat in the sugar and the vanilla, followed by the egg until the entire mixture is well blended (you might need to scrape the sides to get the cream cheese into the mixture and off the sides of the bowl).  Set this mixture aside.

 

Blend 1 egg, vegetable oil, melted butter, and warm water in a medium size bowl.  Add the Authentic Foods Double Chocolate Brownie Mix and cinnamon (if desired) and stir with a spatula until the batter is slightly smooth.  Set aside 1/2 cup brownie batter and pour the rest of the batter into the greased pan evenly.  Now pour the cheesecake mixture on top of the brownie batter.  Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over all of the brownie batter.  Drop spoonfuls of the reserve brownie batter on top of the cheesecake mixture in random places.  Using the handle of a wooden spoon, make swirls through the reserve brownie batter and the cheesecake mixture.  Bake the brownies in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the cheesecake top looks set.
